Who is Henry Buszard? home

Based in Montreal, this landscape artist combines painting and photography to create uniquely real representations. He has painted scenes from Vancouver Island to Maine, from natural to industrial. Upon graduation from Concordia University's Painting and Drawing program in 2005 he participated in Peinture Fraiche at Galerie Art Mur, an exhibition of promising graduates. At Concordia he was a member of the Metroglyphs, an artist collective who staged the flagship exhibition for Art Matters 2003, Concordia's arts festival. Since 2006 he has been part of a loose-knit group of painters known as the Unreal collective, with whom he curated the very successful La Banque D'Art as well as Ici-La (Here Now) at Espace les Neuf Soeurs. His work has been included in the Avmor Collection.
In the summer of 2007 he filled the W. Garfield Weston Artist in Residence position at Delta Marsh, Manitoba.
He was recently invited to demonstrate his craft at Southpointe Academy, located in Delta, British Columbia (May 2008). He acknowledges that this is an odd coincidence.
